The National Bank of Angola recovered after cyber incident
The National Bank of Angola suffered a cyber attack on January 6, 2024. According to a statement from bank representatives, the attack was successfully mitigated and no financial or other losses followed the incident.
The bank is based in the capital Luanda and has assets under management of more than $10 billion. Shortly after the attack, the bank issued a statement that customers do not have to worry about their security, since all preventive measures were observed, and the bank’s infrastructure and data remained safe.
